Coming from Lisbon, Portugal, Pedro Mendes aka Mr Gasparov, has lived in the past decade between Bristol and Barcelona and has absorbed the best from both undergrounds. He is part of Iberian Records and Steak House, and was a founder of Barcelonas’s 1st dubstep nights back in 2007: The B.Low nights, as well as an original resident in Sub FM‘s The Chorizo Show. Back in those days, one of his best tracks – entitled 1975 – was hand picked by Soul Jazz for one of those “Steppas’s Delight” compilations (and you can still feel the bristol-sound-vibe in it). With this said, we are proud to announce his new EP Ground/Manjerico.

Slower than his usual, Mr Gasparov presents two tracks, deep smooth techno influenced by the very low frequencies. Constant, yet, groovy rhythms, filthy basslines patterns in aerodynamic flux with atmospheric chords and arcing pads, basically a voyage to his influences from the past and present, which gives dancers with more option in his vast catalogue.
